george @ BSF & Tony

My day started off by me going into the MAC computer lab. I really like using these computers, they rock hardcore, BUT, the lab is freezing. It seriously feels like it is 50 degrees in there. Maybe cold concentrates the mind, and energizes the soul. OR, maybe the thermostat is broken.

Tony, who is pictured above and I waited for the buses to come and drop off kids. More or less it was just an excuse to hang out with my buddy.

On a sweet and awesome note, George came to BSF tonight because they had an intro class and he wants to be in the study next year. PRAISE THE LORD! GOD IS SO GOOD! Seriously that is such an awesome thing to me. It shows commitment, and that George is striving to do and seek more for his life. Committing to engage in Christian accountability is the best thing for someone seeking a followers heart. To George it may not have been that big of a deal, but to me it was a huge step. I know God is working in his heart.

P.S. on a funny note, I tried to be sneaky and snap this picture without George knowing. I thought my phone was on silent. But it was not. Not only was it not on silent, but when I was at work, I wanted to show Andrea that my phone has a setting that says, "SAAY CHEESE!" right when you snap a picture. Well, it was still on that setting, and of course it played loud and clear right during the lecture. It was perfect Mikey fashion.

it's official

okay, it is officially official. I have a cold. This seems odd to me because I thought I just recently got over a cold. Hummmm, dern (yes I wanted to spell it that way) season. My nose is stuffed up, my throat is sore, my forehead is warm, and my nose is all like, "ehhh I am gonna drip and be a punk." But whatever, I don't care.....maybe just a lil.

I had my first test for my Elements of Law test today. I honestly thought I did pretty good. I studied for it a lot, and reviewed and did all that I could. We will see if the work paid off.

Tomorrow I start Young Life CLUB back up. It will be the first one for 2009. Pretty exciting stuff. So, because YL is starting back up, I knew I had to take advantage of the time I had tonight and try to snap some pictures. I had a great idea to go and get an action shot of a train going by, and I would explain it futher, but there is no point to do that. When I pulled up to the tracks, the train was going by, and I didn't have time to get out the camera with tri-pod. I still stapped some pictures. We will see on Thursday if they turned out any good. These two shots should give you an idea. I did long exposures for both shots, and had the aperture opened all the way. I think they should turn out good, but we will see once I develop. I am going to go to bed now, I am sick, so that is what I need to do.

it is FREEZING!!

Currently as I write, It is -12, it feels like it is -32. That is, umm COLD. This is a new kind of cold for me. I don't ever remember it being this cold outside. Wowzers, just WOWZERS!! Thursday's sure are long days for me. I mean I have classes and work all day. Lots of reading to stay up on, and all kinds of work to do. I have a morning mass communication class from 9:00-10:15 that I go to right from work, then an interpersonal communication class at 1:30-2:45 where I leave and go directly back to work. I get out of work, do some reading and go back to school at 7:30 for my journalism/photography class. It get's over at 10:15PM!! Ouch! Long day. The above picture was taken in class. The prof. is an old photographer for one of the big news papers in Fort Wayne, and he is a pretty cool dude. I am really going to enjoy this class. I saw this car walking out of class. It is so tiny. Tiny car's are kind of funny. I would feel so silly driving in that car. Or maybe not, maybe I would feel really really cool driving in it. I am kind of curious as to how it actually drives. What is the top speed, and how does it handle. It is supposed to be extremely safe, but that is hard for me to understand.

God is good, even when life is not, God is so good. He is always there to lift me up, to soothe me and comfort me. He is my friend, He is my greatest listener. He does not stay quiet when I need to be spoken to, and I am so extremely blessed when he decides to use me to drive out His plan. What an honor it is to be in a relationship with Jesus Christ. And to that, I give you a smiley face. :o)
