Louisville trip

WOW, what a blast. From the drive up, to the first song we sang. Here of course is Sam, fellow Young Life leader. I believe I will be spooning with him later on in the evening when I go to sleep. Of course, not on purpose....This is a picture I captured of one side of the room of people. It is awesome because there is so much energy, and God is so ALIVE In these people that are close to my age and just like minded. It is such a powerful thing to be a part of. Our group, like our area people ended up at Applebees, and we ate desserts, and it was really fun and awesome. God has showed up in a big way. I felt lead to give a toast. So I took a glass and got everyone's attention, and explained that ever sense I got involved with Young Life, I have been able to be accountable to the things I want in life, and have just grown so much by being able to be around people that are the same as me, or at the start, were the same as what I wanted to be. Very cool, very good for me to say. Response was excellent from one girl. I explained how I had never heard of Young Life, and then I got super involved, she said she needed to hear that. EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON, I constantly learn to listen to God when he tuggs. AMEN.

another day, another done

I was slightly lazy today, but perfectly okay with it. Went to work, worked out hardcore at the YMCA, ate a healthy lunch, Bible study, Television, then back to work. When I got off work at 6:00, I went and spent some time with George. We talked about how he has been doing lately, and how to gain strength in the Lord. It pretty much came down to, [Love God, Love people, don't mess with the rest]. Then we watched Righteous Kill, which George rented. It was a good movie....well maybe not all that good. They dropped the F BOMB so many times, it almost made you uncomfortable. I love the Lord my God with all my heart. He is God. He is my God, my everything. My reason for existence, my strong point. He is my Father, my helper, my best friend. I talk to Him about everything, my fears, my happiness's, my all.

I leave for Kentucky tomorrow. I will BLOG from the HOTEL when we get to Louisville.

I got some cool pictures, I did

Okay, it is super late, and I am extremely tired. I am going to upload some pictures that I took for my photography class that I really liked. I am going to explain them slightly, and then say one last thing and go to bed.K, I took this picture at work. I was laying with my back on the ground. I had two trusted boys from childcare come with me, and I told them to throw their balls up in the air as high as possible. They did, and I snapped the picture. I felt it came out pretty good. The assignment was action shots. With this picture, I had Nicks friend Jesse drive past me going about 40MPH, and had nick point at my camera. I wanted it to be a bit blurry, so I gave it a slower shutter speed. Here is the edited picture.Yea, I liked it.

Then last, but not least. I did several pictures of traffic moving quickly with a very long exposure time. Check out how this one turned out. I like it a lot. Amateur photography YES, but I like it a lot. It is really cool, because in yesterday's BLOG, you can see how I set up the shot, and then the outcome. NEAT NEAT NEAT!!!

I decided to not say anything else about the thing I was possibly going to say....not yet, maybe in the weeks to come....possibly. ;o)

G'Night!

That is so sweet! I am so totally excited, now all the logistics of the whole situation will start to come into play. My semester ends on May 10th, and I have to be at the camp in Arizona on the 11th. Ohhh boy ohhh boy, this is really something.

This week's assignment was motion. The Young Life area director, Josh had an idea to go out with my camera and tri-pod during low light, and set it up and just expose it for a long time while traffic was going by. He said it would get all blurry and look really cool. We will see. This is what I had set up at one location.I went to a couple of other areas in Fort Wayne, to get a different shot's. BUT, this one was the easiest one for me to take a picture of me taking a picture. The thing I hate and love about shooting NON-DIGITAL photography is that you just don't know how it is going to turn out. When it does not turn out the way you want it to, it SUCKS, but when it does, IT IS AMAZING!!! So, we will see tomorrow when I develop it. I am tired, and need to go to beddy bye.

the happy day

This is what I saw when I walked into the guy at work. Apparently the closest high school needed to paint this giant floor thingy for their winter guard. I am posting from my cell phone. I am doing that because I am sitting here in front of this silly 46inch LCD television. IT IS SO MASSIVE I CAN'T LOOK AWAY!!! (UPDATED POST) Anything after the brackets that hold the updated post is information I posted on Wednesday for Tuesday. Don't be confused, everything is alright, accept it and move along with life. My day slinked along, I went to the YMCA to work out, and this time my Philosophy professor that I had last semester was working out and saw me. He got a locker next to mine, and we chatted slightly. Then, later on I approached him while he was walking on the tread mill. Great guy, very against Christ, but an amazing intelligent and kind individual. I felt like God set up that meeting, and to what extent I will be involved, only He knows. It was a cool "run in" though.

I didn't have time for a formal lunch. I grabbed some left over food from the fridge, and stopped at a gas station to warm it up. This is a picture of that gas station. The Arab gentlemen are always kind to me when I use their gas station microwave even though I don't purchase anything from their handy little store. I always get a big smile, for which I happily returned the favor. After I did a little bit of this and that, I ended up back at work. After work, I went to class. My law class. My 3 hour long once a week law class that I have to take for my minor degree in OLS (Organizational Leadership & Supervision). I think the picture below explains everything. I needn't say any more after that.God bless you for reading my BLOG, and taking an interest in my life. It really means a lot to me. Seriously it does, I would not say it if I did not mean it. Just ask anyone. Anyone at all that knows me of course. Don't ask that one guy because he does not know me very well, only well enough to say he knows me. But that other guy, or that girl he hangs out with. You could ask them and they would tell you. You could fully accept the truth of their words. TA TA!!

HDrific

Today I had a goal. My goal was simple in nature. Get the new HD Television up and running at full capacity. So, I do not have school on Mon, Wed, or Fri so I had plenty of time to get this thing up and running at full speed. She's good to go now. Technology is an amazing thing, truly tis.

BSF was really good today also. I learned learned where the term Scape Goat came from. It came from Moses's time. It was part of the atonement process which would take place once a year. In Leveticus 16:8 & 10 it is used. Also, I know what atonement means, butr I got a cool definition from the lecture tonight. Atonement: To remove by paying a price. I am studying the Old Testament of the Bible, but it just SCREAMS Jesus Christ all over the place. And it is not because I want it to scream it, it is because it has Him written all over it. It is very cool how the Holy Spirit can allow something like that do jump out. Also, it is very cool how the Holy Spirit calms the desires of the flesh. I love to see personal growth in the Lord. I am really seeing it.

I left BSF with many awesome things to work on and try to accomplish, BUT, this is a very super important idea I left with. The one who needs to be satisfied is God, not me. That is so true, and I need to make that very clear in my life.

SUPERBULL CRAP

I went to a church I was invited to go to 2 weeks ago from a guy who I had an encounter with at a parking lot I was chilling in while doing my Bible study. Anyways, long story short. It was an awesome church. I can't wait to go back next week. The people were so genuine, and it was just the kind of service I get a lot from.It was really cool. The guy who was suppose to give the lecture today, well his back went out. SO, the pastor said to us, "ya know what, this is not the kind of church where we have to follow any kind of schedule or program, I do not think that is how the Holy Spirit intends for us to worship God." After he said that, I knew I was in the right place. Then, when he read a little bit from Hebrews that was on his heart. He did not say what exact verse he would be reading, and it just so happened that in a little side note for my Bible study on Friday, I highlighted about 3 verses in Hebrews. Those were the exact verses he read. And he was just speaking what my heart had just been filled with. Very cool.

Then I hung out with some kids, and I get a phone call from my mom. She says, "hey Mikey, do you think you could come home because we need your help to hook something up." I said, "ohh yea, what is that?" She said, "Well, we just bought a new 46 inch Toshiba LCD screen." I was like, "i'll be home in 10 minutes." Ohh my goodness, it is things like this that make living at home not so bad. Ya know? Just kidding, but seriously it does. Then I went to the first Young Life leaders meeting for the year, and it was good.

Then the super bowl of course. I really wanted the underdogs to win. Stupid Patriots need to learn how to share. CRAP IT WAS SO CLOSE TOO!!!! This is what I ate at Georges house.
